7 Mile Taxidermy was founded in
July 2007 by John "J.B." Beane. After working nights, weekends, and holidays for three years, J.B. yearned for the
days where he could enjoy the finer things in life such as family, friends, and church. Being a lifelong outdoorsman, J.B.
often dreamed of becoming a taxidermist and owning his own business. On April 23, 2007 that dream became a reality as he began
taxidermy school at the Pocono Institute of Taxidermy in Pennsylvania.
Upon Graduation, J.B. has returned to his native Craig County, Virginia as a licensed taxidermist.
He is looking forward to serving the outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen of Virginia, West Virginia, and surrounding areas. His
degree in Environmental Policy from Roanoke College, formal training at the Pocono Institute, and his keen understanding of
wildlife will ensure that your trophy is treated with respect and recreated to look as realistic as possible.
"I am a hunter and fisherman and I value
the time spent in the field searching for that once-in-a-lifetime trophy. I pledge to treat every specimen as if it were my
own. Thank you for your business - happy hunting and fishing!" -J.B., Owner
